I was wondering if I could ask you a few things. And then maybe a favor, depending on what your answer is.

You can ask anything you want! I'm happy to help where I can.

[Admittedly, she's kind of lost on that one. She's not sure if there are physical copies somewhere, or if you need to take down the cameras to see the recordings or what - all of this technology stuff is still pretty difficult for her to grasp.
She does know about the cameras, though, and she knows that they record things. She's seen evidence of that at Rinzler's trial.]
I'm the ship Historian, and a few months ago some kind of creature got on the ship and killed some people, but that was before I showed up.
I was wondering if you could find some footage of what it looks like, and what it could do? I think it's important to know that sort of thing, especially since it's still trapped somewhere on the ship.

[ Incredibly disappointing, considering it would be greatly useful to have some video evidence of some of the events that have occurred around the ship. This creature, especially. Cortana's seen the network posts about it, but doesn't know anything about it beyond what she could gather from those. ]
I'd agree that it's important to find those things out. I wish I could be of more assistance, but the systems here are impressive. Normally I have no trouble breaking in where I'm not supposed to, but I've yet to have any luck with that here.
I would recommend bringing it up with one of the captains. As the Historian, and considering the importance of the details, I would imagine they would grant you the access you need. Have you tried speaking with those who were here to experience the attacks? First-hand accounts could be just as useful.
